The Erasmus + project “Wellness and Spa Tourism Sectoral Skills’ Development” (WeSkill), Ref. No. 621401-EPP-1-2020-1-BG-EPPKA2-SSA, aimed to develop and implement a curriculum for VET (vocational education and training) institutions in line with labour market needs, based on addressing skills and competency gaps in the spa and wellness sector, is now approaching completion.
On 23rd April, 2024, the partnership held its Final conference, hosted by ITPIO in Sofia, Bulgaria, and targeted at the following target groups:
VET and CVET providers in tourism
Wellness tourism companies
Sectoral tourism organisations
VET teachers and in-company tutors in the sector
VET students
National qualification authorities outside the partnership
The partners highlighted the project main and specific objectives, specifying the activities carried out in achieving the main results:
Definition of skills gaps and training needs in the wellness and SPA sector
Curricula for skills development in the wellness and SPA sector designed for EQF level 4
Multilingual E-learning and training platform and a specific mobile app
Establishment of a non-formal new Sectoral Alliance on VET excellence in the wellness and SPA tourism
