The Latvian Health Tourism Cluster is starting more active cooperation with Lublin Medicine Cluster

On 5 March 2021, a bilateral webinar took place between members of the Latvian Health Tourism Cluster and Lublin Medicine Cluster. The aim of the webinar was to introduce both clusters’ current experience in implementing different activities, the experience of good practice in the provision of medical services, in use of technology, health management questions, promotion of medical exports.
Polish partners expressed a desire to cooperate with Latvian colleagues on telemedicine issues, psychiatry, ophthalmology, large hospital management questions, and other issues. Similarly, Latvian colleagues showed great interest in the operations of the Simulation Center of the Medical University of Lublin. Significant collaborative activities have been outlined for the near future, affecting both digital solutions in medicine as well in medical training.
Both sides expressed their readiness to continue active cooperation in managing medical services, in administration, medical marketing and export issues, as well as carrying out projects in education and joint projects with the support of EU funds.
The next, bilateral collaborative webinar on shared medical issues and joint medicine export projects is planned already at the end of April 2021.
The initial cooperation between the Latvian Health Tourism Cluster and the Lublin Medicine Cluster began in 2017 when both institutions were participating in a joint international EU project “ProVaHealth”, which focused on the development of the Living Lab, medical simulation centers and adopting examples of good practice in Baltic Sea Region countries. On 20 July 2018, a bilateral cooperation agreement was signed between the two organizations. Whereas in June 2018, a representative of the Latvian Health Tourism Cluster presented the Latvian medicine export experience at the international health tourism summit “HEALTH AND MEDICAL TOURISM SUMMIT – EASTERN EUROPE 2018”, organized by the Lublin Medicine Cluster with its members.
