“Health Center 4” in its expansion of the “Dermatology Clinic” branch, proudly unveils a new, state-of-the-art facility located at 50 Skanstes Street, Riga. A substantial investment of EUR 1.7 million has been dedicated by “Health Center 4” for the establishment of this clinic. This investment encompasses the construction of premises, intricate business design, modern functionality, and the outfitting of operating rooms and medical offices with cutting-edge, premium-class medical technologies, equipment, and materials sourced from industry leaders.
The new clinic stands as a gift to both the specialists and clients of “Health Center 4” in celebration of its upcoming 30th anniversary, slated for spring 2024. It serves as a dedicated space where the clinic’s medical professionals can not only perform but also further develop their professional skills. Positioned on the 2nd floor of the building, the new clinic features two state-of-the-art operating rooms designed for extensive and intricate plastic surgery procedures. Additionally, a separate room is allocated for minor surgical manipulations, complemented by a cluster of offices and procedure rooms tailored for consultations and endoscopic examinations.
Exceptional focus has been placed on ensuring the comfort of both specialists and patients within the clinic. The facility boasts a cutting-edge staff calling and internal communication system designed to enhance patient experience. The wards feature top-tier functional beds, and innovative solutions extend to lighting, window blinds, and ambient music. Furthermore, the clinic incorporates convenient wireless charging points for smart devices, along with a range of other innovations that adhere to the highest modern standards.
Māris Rēvalds, Chairman of the Board at “Health Center 4” emphasizes, “The existing options for operations and endoscopic examinations that we have provided thus far are insufficient. The demand is so significant that we’ve opted to double our capacity. On this occasion, special mention should be made of the medical solutions, for example, very specific, extremely durable and expensive wall material is used in the operating rooms, which can be maintained and disinfected according to the high requirements of the operating rooms, as well as a climate control system made in France, which ensures the most optimal air exchange in the operating room. To fortify the clinic against potential disruptions, we have implemented a robust backup power source. This measure ensures seamless continuity in our operations and services, safeguarding against any unforeseen power outages. Thinking about safety, both the new clinic and the “Dermatology Clinic” on the 3rd floor of the building, where it has been operating for 15 years, have newly established a medical gas system that meets all standards We’ve devised a remarkable solution by installing a hermetic window in the operating room, vastly improving the working conditions for our specialists. This innovative addition allows our dedicated professionals to enjoy natural daylight, eliminating the need to spend every working day in a closed room. Simultaneously, this thoughtful approach creates a more inviting and pleasant atmosphere for our valued patients, fostering a healing environment that prioritises comfort and well-being. To ensure the highest standards in healthcare, we have invested in superior operating theater equipment from the esteemed medical technology manufacturer Dräger in Germany. Additionally, for our endoscopy examinations, we have acquired cutting-edge equipment from OLYMPUS in Japan.
The author of the project of the new “Health Center 4” clinic is Andrejs Staris – an architect with specialization and extensive experience in designing medical institutions.
“Since the clinic was built in an existing office building, where there is a very dense network of internal communications, and a major reconstruction had to be carried out, the project was not easy to implement – it was a challenge both for the builders, as the work often had to be done outside working hours, and for the employees of the surrounding offices, who had to reckon with noise and inconvenience. We apologize for that now”, says Māris Rēvalds.
The interior design was created by Kristiana Kazarjana, one of the most sought-after interior architects in Latvia, president of the Latvian Designers Association, chairman of the board of the Latvian Designers Union. Not only aesthetics, but also high functionality and a personalized approach make her projects special. In creating the interior of the clinic, the designer has made maximum use of local materials, furniture made in Latvia, interior design elements, creating a special, pleasant atmosphere, uncharacteristic of a medical institution, where patients feel
welcome and cared for. Discretion and confidentiality are also considered in the clinic – clients can use a second, invisible entrance node.
“Health Center 4” branch “Dermatology Clinic” is currently the largest and most modern center of its kind in Latvia. The clinic offers modern treatment of all types of acute and chronic skin diseases, aesthetic medicine and plastic surgery options, using the latest technologies and the work of highly qualified specialists. The expansion of the “Dermatology Clinic” by occupying the 2nd floor of the building will provide patients with new opportunities to receive the highest level of services in a comfortable environment.
