RIGA MATERNITY HOSPITAL
The Riga Maternity Hospital is the country’s largest and most modern delivery assistance and prenatal care institution with 70 years of experience.
At the Maternity Hospital, every year an average of 6000 deliveries are conducted, which is roughly a third of all the deliveries in the country.
The Maternity Hospital employs experts with high scientific and clinical competencies. In their daily work, the specialists use modern treatment methods and the latest technologies. This has allowed the Maternity Hospital to achieve significantly higher perinatal care quality indicators than the national average.

CARE FOR PREGNANT WOMEN
At the Maternity Hospital, pregnant women receive supportive and professional care, which includes counseling and supervision by midwives and/or gynecologists-birth attendants; prenatal diagnostics, using high-end ultrasound equipment; as well as inpatient care in case of pregnancy complications.
The Maternity Hospital also provides classes with activities and lectures for future parents in Latvian, Russian and English.
CHILDBIRTH ASSISTANCE
The Maternity Hospital supports and facilitates natural, physiological childbirth in as intimate and privacy-friendly environment as possible; however, if necessary, the Maternity Hospital provides the most advanced technologies and the most knowledgeable specialists to provide maternity assistance in critical cases.
NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE
The Maternity Hospital has the most technologically well-equipped neonatal intensive care unit in the country where, if necessary, newborns receive the highest level of specialized help provided by neonatologists/specialists with long-term experience in solving newborn health problems.
POST-NATAL CARE
The maternity hospital offers professional post-natal care for both the mother and the child, including specialist advice and further examinations, if necessary.
Comfortable and modern living conditions are provided in the postnatal wards. Also available are high-service family rooms, where the new mom can stay with someone close to her.

Linda Grinberga
Certified gynaecologist, obstetrician. Provides care for pregnant women, including during high-risk pregnancies. Performs preventive gynaecological examinations and treats gynaecological diseases. Advises on contraception and family planning. Many years of experience in providing individual care during childbirths, including high-risk births.
Dagnija Strausa
Certified midwife. Oversees and assists with the birthing process, provides support in water births. Provides care for mothers and their newborns.
Linda Veidemane
Сertified midwife. Provides care for pregnant women and gives lectures and classes for expectant parents – Preparation for childbirth; Childbirth process; How to facilitate childbirth – breathing methods, delivery positions, partner support.
Pavels Domasevs
Certified gynecologist-obstetrician with extensive work experience in obstetrics, specializes in ultrasound diagnostics. Performs prenatal diagnosis of fetal pathology and developmental abnormalities in the first and second trimesters.; performs invasive procedures – chorionic villus biopsy and amniocentesis. Evaluates the condition and well-being of the fetus in the third trimester, including by Doppler ultrasound. In case of a breech position, performs the external cephalic version under ultrasound control.
Natalija Vedmedovska
Practices fetal ultrasonography and invasive fetal examination (chorion biopsy, amniocentesis). Associate Professor at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Riga Stradins University
Agnese Sturmane
Certified gynaecologist, obstetrician. Provides outpatient care to pregnant women, including patients with high-risk pregnancy, and individual care during the childbirth
Inara Miltina
Certified gynaecologist, obstetrician with more than 30 years of experience, including in care for women with high-risk pregnancies. Provides individual care in childbirth, including for high-risk patients.
