From April 1st, most Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted
As the amount of infections in Latvia and in the world decreases, from April 1st, most Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted. Some restrictions will be maintained in environments with a particularly high risk of disease. The rights of employers and service providers to assess potential risks and set epidemiological safety requirements have been extended.
Covid-19 restrictions related to the use of face masks
When visiting medical and social care institutions, the requirement to use a medical face mask or FFP2 respirator will remain for both – visitors and staff.
Also remains the requirement to use medical face masks or FFP2 respirators in public transport.
Travelling and Covid-19 Certificates
When entering Latvia from the European Union, European Economic Area countries and Great Britain, you will not need to present Covid-19 certificates or Covid-19 tests. When entering Latvia from third countries, the need to present a certificate or a negative Covid-19 test before entry will be maintained.
